On this project, our client wanted a spacious home, woven with all the flexibility and comfort required by a family of four with young children.

As the client enjoyed entertaining guests, The Good Studio set out to create a sense of openness and connectivity. Spread over two storeys, the living and dining areas, were purposefully positioned on the ground floor as the hub of the home, drawing the family together to create a central point for guests to gather without disturbing the children’s sleep.

A welcoming atmosphere had been forged with generous seating, both comfortable and functional, encouraging conversation and communication.

Broad archways revealed minimal interiors paired with walnut wood accents to evoke a sense of warmth.

We sought inspiration from the fashion world because the family was extremely unique with expressive personalities. The most obvious interpretation of the concept was in the master bedroom; the freestanding bath was an unexpected touch that demanded attention in its very own light-filled spot. Contemporary artwork and bespoke rugs throughout the home acted like think-pieces, answering the client’s call for luxury and further building on the predominant idea of escape.

This spacious haven of relaxation had become just as luxurious as a hotel, where company felt compelled to return to again and again. Celebrating age-old architecture with a contemporary edge, House 1967 has character, and plenty of it.
